Our Gala guests are also welcome to stroll in the beautiful garden on the grounds of the Charles P. Allis mansion, and to explore the museum's traveling exhibition, “Ghosts of Segregation," in which photographer Richard Frishman explores the lingering presence of segregation, slavery and institutional racism hidden in everyday American architecture. Frishman’s photographs speak to the complex and difficult road towards social justice and equality in America, and cast light on generations of painful inequality and social turmoil.

Since our establishment in 2017, APERI ANIMAM has become widely popular to early music enthusiasts and organizations across the United States. With the support of our generous sponsors, community, and dedicated lovers of the arts, APERI ANIMAM become one of the best professional early music ensembles in North America. We’ve had the pleasure of sharing the healing power of atmostpheric performances with our MKE community while working alongside critically acclaimed music professionals including the Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Cadance Collective, St. John’s Cathedral Choir, and the Plymouth Chorale.
Despite enduring a global pandemic, we resumed our productions in December of 2021 and have since produced AUDIVI VOCEM: Music for Advent & Christmas and most recently Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo.
